We here at First Christian believe that every person is blessed with talents that can be used to glorify God (1 Peter 4:10). The example Christ gave us showed that serving others is necessary for following Him (John 13:15).
There are lots of ways to get involved at First Christian and share your talents with the Lord by serving others! Check out the opportunities below, and get involved with one … or more!
General areas in which we are always looking for help include: Audio/Visual ministry, Communion Preparation, Lawn Maintenance and Building upkeep, and more! In addition to these general areas, we also have specific groups with specialized focus.
Prayer Group
Prayer Group meets every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. in Keith’s office. Here you will pray silently or aloud, whichever is your preference, with a group of loving like-believers.
Keith’s Klan
Keith’s Klan meets monthly for fellowship luncheons, and at other times throughout the year.

Women’s Council
The Women’s Council is truly the servant’s heart at First Christian. These Godly ladies meet each month and plan events to reach the membership and community.
The Women’s Council also leads our benevolence committee, and is one of the first to respond in the event of a death or illness, preparing home-cooked dishes for the bereaved. In this way, the Women’s Council is pivotal in the mourning process of a loved one’s surviving family.
Sanctuary Choir
If you like to sing or play an instrument, this is the area for you! The Sanctuary Choir serves an important role in the weekly worship service, leading the congregation in worshiping the Lord through song.
Join Minister of Music Jerry Mathis as he leads the Sanctuary Choir in worshiping and praising God each Sunday morning, with rehearsals on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. In addition to Sunday Worship, the Sanctuary Choir performs special music programs at specific times throughout the year, such as Easter and Christmas.
